Freydisa, my Druid, wants to say something here....
Remember that nature in and of itself is neither good nor evil. And creatures such as the fae that reflect aspects of the natural world are likewise. Druids have a responsibility to both the human and natural communities around them to help balance things - predators are not evil, just hungry; deer may need to have the herds thinned to prevent a massive die-off in their population; and so on.
It's sad but true that sometimes and elephant gets a taste for raiding a poor farmer's field and wiping out a whole six months' worth of work. Or that a tiger occasionally eats someone. Or that a park squirrel gets arrogant and sassy and attacks like a mini gangster to beat you down and take your peanuts. These things sometimes require some rebalancing too. Either you get rid of the people the animals are harming, or you move or slay the animals that are harming people. These are very situational.
In the case of the mischievious maidens in Enchanted Lands, the local inhabitants have confided in you that they are encroaching upon the Stout community there in bad ways. Would you rather help humanely remove a few of these, or see a vengeful crowd of pike-and-torch-wielding halflings rise up one day in rage and slay all the fae in the area? Balance! It's the way of Mother Tunare!
