I am just logging in and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the 3 gig patch or update today? If so, what is it all about?

Not I.. did you accidentally choose the Test Server? If so, you are in theory, reinstalling the game as that is how the Test Server functions.

Otherwise, it sounds like your directory for EQ2 was deleted or has become corrupt and a bulk of the content is being re-downloaded. If you moved your directory or changed your drive configuration this will also result in a re-download.

The only thing I could have done is I hit enter twice after I typed in my password and possibly could have had the cursor over something else.

I've definitely made the test server mistake before. I think I did it twice actually before I realized what it was. Its usually a 2-3gb dl so I would agree that you probably accidentally clicked on it.
