I've had this happen several times, but I've also gotten discovery experience again, too....so for a small annoyance, I'll take the AA.

Have had it happen 2-3x here and yep; very annoying. I actually went and opened them back up a few times and never got more disco tho. Not that I would have liked to. That would definitely be exploiting a bug and I am against doing anything that would risk my accts SMILEY. Anyway, hope they fix it; there is nothing worse than zoning into a zone, ready to explore, and opening your map to find it has been wiped.

FYI: this is the most common dev response for any problem. The fact is that eq2maps( in this case) is just using the exposed interface that SoE exposed, SOO if there really is a bug it is on SoE's side not the applications using those interfaces. Heck had the same arguements for wow.

I didn't get disco AA for those areas a second time, either, so the "extra AA" argument fails.

Well, to put a band-aid on a bigger problem, if you are using EQ2Maps you could always use this..
I know it's not a complete fix, but it works for me till one comes along.

I found new quests in Antonica I'd never seen before (not the World Event, normal static quests). I wonder if that's the reason.

But yes, it's annoying. I, too, wish a map would stay cleared, for that character, if you've cleared it.
