Was playing on AB and zoned got stuck at the Connecting to Zone Server. Shut down EQII and restarted and am again stuck at the Connecting Zone Server. My one night to play late and dang if I can't get logged in. Anyone else having this issue or anyone know what I need to do????

This has been a recurring problem, most obviously in DoF zones. What zone are you stuck on?

Usually, I've been able to get back into game after exiting out and relogging. If you're having issues getting back on at all, you might need to try logging a different character in to see if it's your account or just that character. If it's your account, you have bigger problems. If it's that character, it could be that that particular zone server is down.

Supposedly this issue was fixed a few updates ago, but I've seen it reoccurring lately.

Not fixed SMILEY I occasionally run Tears Grifter missions when passing by Maj'Dul and have had this happen more frequently over the past week. It's either the same as the subject or even "Waiting for zone server".

After waiting maybe a minute I usually go to window (if full screen) and close EQ2. For the first time last night this actually caused me not to be able to login my main toon for about half an hour. I'd see some error dialog popup then the game would just close. No error logs, nothin'.

If this thread ends up getting moved then we know at least someone else noticed it

I had this problem a lot yesterday on AB with my whole group getting kicked when zoning from the Barren Sky to Tenebrous Tangle. When we tried to come back in our characters either were not present on the character select screen, were the wrong level at the char select screen, or said we had an active character in game.
It took 5min to 30min for us all to get back in game after that.

This happens to me all the time, usually just when zoning into my inn room or a tradskill instance. I always have to exit the game and start it over again. Also, when I say inn room i mean just that, a basic inn room with nothing but the basic quest furniture you receive when you buy it, plus a few L&L items.

I had this problem.

Spent ages with SoE CSr and GMs looking for the cause, doing ip traces etc and thought it was my router blocking ports but it turned out to be that id disabled UAC (user access control) under vista.
