Ok not sure where to put this or to whom to submit this to but I was wondering if we will at some point in time have weapon graphics updated/changed? Right now I think the bo staffs look horrible, they don't even look like a bo staff atleast in EQ1 the bo staffs looked like a bo staff, as far as animation I think a 2 handed weapon should not be swong with 1 hand at all and its really bugging me to see on certain combat arts my character jumping up in the air and coming down swinging my bo staff which is a 2 handed weapon with one hand.

Actually, in several martial arts, a bo staff IS swung in one hand in a strike.

I can see the one handed thrust as a viable attack as I do it with my bo irl but I have a hard time believing a overhead one handed strike being that effective, now what I would like to see also is a 2 handed jo staff now that would be a nice welcomed weapon

I dont think that the fighting styles in the game should be designed to too closely mirror any real world styles.. sure, take inspiration from them, but its another world and I cant see any reason to 'update' (in fact i wouldnt see it as an update at all) things like this.

I think the fighting styles should reflect the class of the person using it. I'm sick and tired of seeing berzerkers, Guardians, Paladins, Shadowknights, Templars, Inquisitors, and well.. EVERY OTHER CLASS dancing around and spinning like a monk when they use a bo staff.

And tbh the bo staff animations are by far the coolest on the game PERIOD. And there is no overhand strike with a staff, there is however an animation where you are spinning the staff around above your head and you bring it down sidearm to an enemy's ribs. Idk I will have to look at this again, but I'm pretty sure the animations here are as good as EQ2 gets.

I laughed at my own comment as I didn't see it that way but now that you point it out it does sound funny and I can see the napolean dynamite reference so clearly lol.
