I played this game 5 years ago and quit for others mmos.. now I really miss it and I want to play again, I've already bought a copy of vanadiel collection 2008, installed the game, and edited the regedit files to make my graphics more.. on par with the times? Anyways I'm wondering what the most populous servers are and/or which servers would be best for starting a new character. Also... if anyone is willing to be my friend in game thatd be great I'm a bit nervous starting without knowing anyone...!

I personally find Alexander to be fun. The economy is good and the people are nice. I just restarted after a 2 year hiatus and Alexander was great to me.

Diablos is a good server. Average population and a good mix of nation population. constant rotation of 1st place nations and the WoTG areas are very busy. For the most part many friendly players and economy is stable and thriving.

Join Bismarck. It's like all the other servers, but this one... Starts with a capital B.

I just rolled onto Asura, starting in Bastok. I've seen a few others from LVL 1-10, but Bastok is quite empty compared to the old days pre ToA

I think most of the servers are pretty much balanced in population I play on leviathan and I very much enjoy it there. If you fancied coming over, I'd be happy to give you a pearl to a decent LS, they've been really helpful as I've been levelling up through the game .
