I am wondering for those who have more than one level 75 jobs for same character, how they manage their merit points. Any suggestion or opinion ^^?

For myself, I am facing the issue of weapon/combat skill points merit. I already have PLD and SAM at level 75, and my WAR just reach level 75 today. My NIN is at level 72 at this moment, and MNK at level 64. I am planning to take NIN and MNK to level 75 too.

Should I focus weapon skill points on one or two jobs, or spread out? So far my sword skill has 4 merit, Great Katana has 2 merit. 3 merit on critical hit rate.

Note: I am using Great Axe as main weapon on my WAR. Haven't use Axe after I got Mistral Axe WS.

It all depends what jobs you play/enjoy the most. If you play a certain job more, hone your merits toward that job.

Yeah, there's not a lot of overlap between the jobs you've chosen aside from Sword, so I'd merit in favor of your favorites amoung the jobs.

A lot of the jobs you've chosen already have high skill in a specialized weapon. You're not going to lose too much ground where weapons with already high skills are concerned, so you should probably choose to specialize one of them over the rest, since dividing up the merits would be a small impact.

Personally, I've reconsidered my sword merits because it feels like the accuracy and damage haven't notably improved and from where my COR is standing, even with merits and the gear I could have, it seems I still can't get A- in sword. So better for me to leave it at the B I can get and raise another weapon category instead

The real conflicts between jobs for merits all revolve around the general categories: HP/MP, Enmity/Crit Rate, Stats, Combat Skills, Magic Skills.

With the majority of your jobs being offensive DD, I'd go with BBQ's suggestion and say that you should go with whichever offensive job you like best and focus on that rather than trying to cover all your bases and piecemealing your merits across different ones. Jack of All Trades, Master of None doesn't work too well in FFXI since almost everything is accomplished in a group.

It's a serious pain in the ass, I still don't know how to organize my combat merits.

For magic skills, it's pretty weird. Some of them are no brainers, like if you enjoy BLU merit Blue Magic skill because the only other way to boost it is by the AF body.
