Cool How to play MS with a controller

Ill start this guide off assuming that you already have a computer controller.

1.Plug your controller in.
2.If your controller came with a CD I would advise you to install it. If you have XP+ chances are your computer will probley find the new hardware AKA (plug and play) and install basic things to make it work.
3.Download JoyToKey. JoyToKey is a program that enables you to transfer keyboard motions or buttons to the controller. The only problem is that you cant combine keyboard movements like lets say you want button 1 to be ALT+f4 you cant do that. I have provided a link to download JoyToKey. It is 311kb. Download. If you are iffy about this download I have provided a state of the art online virus scanner that uses 7+ of the most well known scanners. You do not even have to open the zip to scan it. Just scan it. Virus Scanner
4.Open the program and click File>Create New Configuration File.
5. Name the configuration.
6. Change the keys by clicking on them and pressing the button that you want your controller button to be. So lets say you want the right arrow to move the analog right than move the analog right. Or you want esc to be button 9 than press button 9 for the esc field.
7.When you are done just click on the Profile for the game. Notice that in the zip itself I included some of my Profiles for MS. Its more of a PS2 PS1 configuration. So if your a hardcore gamer than you might catch on quick.
8.Voila! You are now done. I hope you can now enjoy ms a bit more.

You can use Gamecube, Ps1, Ps2 or even xbox controllers to play maplestory.

That really is the only true downfall to playing with a controller but what I like about it is that it feels more at home for me because I play games like crazy and plus I dont like carpal tunnel syndrome.. (sorry for those that have it).

hmmm dam.....
when i try to play with my controller it works for 5 seconds and then just stops.....
so if i play ms and walk to the right for that five seconds it lags and my character keeps walking to the right.....i think my controller is broken, but im not sure. i have played with the controller before and after gamegaurd but im not sure why it doesnt work anymore. my controller also doesnt work with joy2key for some reason now......it probly is broken.......
