Pure Builds (cookie cutter builds)

A pure build is when you put all of your points into one stat when you level up. These builds are considered the "best" builds by Korean and International players. This is a good choice for general SilkRoad players that are just starting. Pure builds are some of the most basic builds, yet some of the most effecient.
Pure strength builds are considered the "tanks" of SilkRoad. Pure intelligence builds are considered the damage dealers of SilkRoad. These two builds will be the best at what they do. A few strength weapons are blade,glaive, and bow(argueable). The general weapons for intelligence users are swords and spears because of the improved magic damage.

Hybrid Builds

A hybrid is when you take two things, and combine them to make it one. Hybrids are built with both str and int attributes. Some consider them weak, but can be very powerful characters if played smart. Hybrids are the jack of all trades, master of none. A hybrid will be able to take more hits than a pure int, but do less damage. On the other hand, a hybrid can do more damage, but take less hits that a pure str.
Some people create these builds to find an alternative to the average "cookie cutter" build. Hybrids are difficult to play, and not recommended for anyone planning to play SilkRoad hardcore. Hybrids will be fun, but will be weaker later on in higher levels. Hybrids are a "Utility" build, they are based on survival. It is a fact, hybrids will use less potions than a pure strength or intelligence, but at a cost of slight weakness.

Explaining Your Build

If someone asks you, what build do you have? It is important to know what you are talking about when you reply. When explaining your build, you should always list how you put your stat points in, your main element, and your main weapon mastery. To list how you put your stat points in, you should say how many points you put in every level (i.e., 2:1). The #:# system shows how many points are put into a particular stat compared to another stat. So a 5:1 strength means that the person puts in 1 intelligence for every 5 strength he gets.
Example:
3:1 str/fire/blade
