well ... I post all the time. a few hundred auctions at a time.
I have around 10 of everything at any given time, aside from the "Really" hard stuff to keep around.

The fact of the matter is, search his posts in the AH - see how many compete with your own. if it's low - it's just random.

Auctioneer Automatically prices items a little below the mean of the number of items currently listed - so if yours is the "only" item of a kind, his will be lower.

you can test this by posting something at twice the price and see if he is just below you.

If you are posting all the time, and he is posting all the time, it could just be random, and you might not be on a highly populated server. I am on a Full server, and auctioneer scans around 450 pages of listings on average. Maybe there are just not a lot of "Item" posters on your server.

Hope I was able to help.

good luck.

I'm surprised no one has really suggested that it is a bot or gold dealer whose job it is to do exactly what you are describing.
I doubt he/she/it is targetting you specifically, just specific items and their target prices.
Anyway, I don't really have any suggestions that may be of use except to use Auctioneer and run scans as frequently as you can.

Good luck.

I know a guy that does little to none end game content and just ganks lowbies and farms. If anyone undercuts his price by a margin that he thinks is too much he'll just run the price of the item into the ground no matter how much the loss in profit. If he see's this persons item on the auction house he will strive to make it not sell and make the market as unstable as possible for that item. Once you have undercut his determined value of an item he will strive to make the AH worthless for you.

So maybe you ran into someone like this, best of luck. I'd just store my stuff on an alt for a while and try again in a few weeks.
